Autonomy of Things or AoT™ takes the Internet of Things to the next level by enabling autonomous movement in things. AoT™ leverages sensors and artificial intelligence to automate the movement of robots, drones, terrestrial and space vehicles.
AoT™ can be deployed in a multitude of physical domains including terrestrial, aerospace, outer space, and undersea applications where the focus is to build perception and 3D maps to enable AoT™.
It all started with the Internet of Things (IoT). The IoT revolution was enabled by advances in semiconductor technology, Wi-Fi, and cloud computing. Using radio-frequency identification (RFID) and Wi-Fi, stationary objects were able to conect to the internet.
Autonomy of Things (AoT™) goes a step further than the internet of things (IoT). AoT™ uses AI-based fusion of multi-sensor data including vision and infrared cameras, acoustic and ultrasonic sensors, radar, and LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and GPS sensors to create accurate, low latency perception and localization maps of the environment and the autonomously moving object (robot, car, truck, drone, spacecraft, etc.)
New applications of AoT™ are now possible in industries as diverse as construction, logistics, mining, manufacturing, surgery, agriculture, medicine, and gaming. By enabling perception, situational awareness and intelligence for moving things, AoT™ takes technology into the future and is expected to create multi-trillion $ economic opportunities in the next decade.
